Yes, unfortunately Maxthon's extensions don't support cookies. So If you clear your cookies, you have to log in again.

There is no Ghostery extension for Maxthon. And you can't install Chrome addons into Mx - Maxthon doesn't support them.

No, it doesn't work for a new tab . You can't change new tab in mx settings. There are some posts/ request on the Forum about this "problem".

Hi ! Let me introduce my last extension for Maxthon browser. It's a shortcut for yours favorites online ... so (unfortunately for someone of you) this extension is only for users signed to Maxthon Passport. It's just a workaround at the moment - let's hope we'll get a true fav's on the sidebar someday ... To manage your fav's (add/ remove/ rename) you still need a Infobox ! Testy dotyczyły tylko przeglądarek na system Windows. I nie ma żadnego znaczenia, czy przeglądarka ( czy inne oprogramowanie) jest w wersji instalacyjnej, czy portable. Dla Twojej informacji - wersja na Androida również posiada UEIP...

Tylko, że w większości przypadków jesteś "informowany" o zbieraniu informacji o Tobie. I teoretycznie nie musisz się na to zgadzać/ możesz wyłączyć szpiegowanie. A jak wynika z tych testów - Maxthon nie respektuje tego . I w tym jest problem...

Czekamy teraz na oficjalne stanowisko Chin (czytaj twórców Mx) Zapowiada się interesująco... W międzyczasie, każdy kto martwi się o swoją prywatność, niech używa innej przeglądarki.

It's probably a bug. You should know that is just a very early alpha version and for sure has plenty of bugs. So you shouldn't use it for daily work! Soon we will publish all instructions and informations, bugs summary about Mx 5.

Maxthon for Windows (whole 4th branch) does not support plug-ins for Chrome because it is built on a modified, own version of Webkit / Blink. This is the reason why Chrome plugins don't work with Maxthon. Maxthon has own extensions. You can find them here http://extension.maxthon.com/ Perhaps Mx 5 will get Chrome extension support.
