I doubt it's doing much at all.

I think you have to have at least one that will be set to default. ...

To me, there is no need for an additional search engine on the topright if the main bar does the same thing. Most browser have changed to having the main bar doing one thing instead of another clogging the screen

see in this gif, when i delete baidu, it automatically transfer to maxthon multisearch

then when i try to delete maxthon multisearch it wouldn't allow me

Everytime i try to go to settings > search engine and attempt to delete it wouldn't dissapear. I only need 1 search engine and having that extra is hindering the browser.
