  1. ClearType on fonts seems to fails in this version of Maxthon as well. Repro: 1. Make sure your zoom Level is set to 100% not higher.. Maxthon seems to default to 110% 2. Make sure ClearType is ON.. (Default in Windows 10/11 really... In the image.. Maxthon Left, Chome, right.. Top row is ClearType turned OFF.. Both browsers obey.. OFF for both. Bottom row is ClearType turned On.. Maxthon remains OFF, Chrome is ON as expected. The image viewer and zooming to 100% on the forum is weird.. Here's a direct link to the image https://forum.maxthon.com/uploads/monthly_2025_03/ClearType_FAIL.jpg.b716bff486b41c14470d733af481a027.jpg
  2. You have to look closer. They are NOT the same in both browsers... I used your own images here to give an example. I cropped things down for better comparison. With a clear example in the middle of the image.. Pay close attention, zoom in, to how the following sentences are displayed, compared to their counterpart on the right. "Speedtest by Ookla" (in white) "1. a procedure intented to... " "Similar" (in green) Bold and large font sizes are AA'ed, but without that, it FAILS in Maxthon.
  3. No difference.. Could you please make sure your zoom level is at 100%. At 110% zoom and above, everything seems to get ClearTyped.. At 100%, no ClearType! Is this the case on your end? No difference.. Could you please make sure your zoom level is at 100%. At 110% zoom and above, everything seems to get ClearTyped.. At 100%, no ClearType! Is this the case on your end?
  4. I posted this on 7.3.1.2800 but got no responce... I installed .3200 and see the same thing. Am I the only one seeing this?
  5. Anti-Aliasing of the font (ClearType) doesn't seem to work in Maxthon.. Anyone noticing this? (Or did I change something unexpectitly?) This is a Maxthon and Chrome comparison.. Everything is squicky sharp in Maxthon and that is not expected. Both Chrome and Edge do use ClearType on text. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/cleartype/
  6. I'm on Version 7.3.1.2000 I have a whole bunch of of 'Tab Groups' defined and nicely sorted. As soon as I switch to 'Split Window' mode (F10), super handy feature btw, I lose all my Tab Groups.. All groups collapse to single tabs. Is this still in the current version?
  7. Nice... The Chromium core was updated to version 128 a while back ( Released on 06/11/2024 ) But the 'User Agent' I noticed was still set to 109. This has been update in this version as well.
  8. 'invideo' buttons don't seem to work with Maxthon. If I open the same link in Chrome or Firefox it works.. It fails in IE as well. (Yes my Maxthon is in UltraMode) Here's something to test with You can click either on the left or right button/link in the video to continue on... As soon as you click it pauses the video. But honestly.. Since Maxthon 3.. I cannot remember any of these invideo buttons working.
  9. I haven't seen this happen with other fonts.. but then again I don't use many webfonts offline... Roboto though is one that's winning traction among many websites.
  10. The 'Roboto' font is Google's main font (Android/Play Store website etc etc) However in Maxthon, If you have the font INSTALLED on your computer it looks HORRIBLE.. (Go to play.google.com and look at the titles between sections.. Bad AA etc etc.., It's very obvious on thin/light version of the font). If you DO NOT have the font installed, the browser grabs the webfont directly from Google's website and all pages with Roboto will render correctly. Yes, correctly. This has been a long time issue in Chrome as well, but has now been fixed. However it is still a problem in the latest Maxthon beta. To see the problem.. 1) Download and install the font: http://developer.android.com/downloads/design/roboto-1.2.zip 2) Put Maxthon side by side with Chrome.. 3) Go to https://play.google.com/store and compare the thin titles text between the two browsers.. Again.. You will ONLY see the difference if you have Roboto installed locally. Maxthon will render the font properly if you do NOT have it installed. And NO.. Uninstalling the font from my computer is not an option as I have to use the font in other application that are not web bound
