Have you already updated the kernel? Or are you not working on it at all? I believe that this is one of the top priorities.

There are a couple of days left before the gold is written off. It's a shame that turning RATING into Gold didn't make sense. And it’s even more unfortunate that they refused to return the Maxton LEVEL. They stole from us what we had saved for years (since 2013)! This is unfair! And now they are forced to write off all the gold for the dubious Maxton Membership in order to have the latest beta version... Why do I need raw versions of the browser, and at my own expense (paying in gold)??? The gold option was a dead end. Once again I ASK you to return the Maxton LEVEL and continue the experiments as usual!

I find it weird that the default user agent is set to chrome 122 while the chromium core is still at 109... by default UA should reflect the actual chromium version and devs should do more frequent and regular core updates. The last time Maxthon updated its chromium core was in v7.0.2.2000, it'as been almost a full year now. I 've been using MyIE then Maxthon for years, but I've switched to Vivaldi as my main browser for now. I hope the devs can fix their roadmap priorities, security patches should be at the top of your list imo.

Hello! Didn't auto-update or alert me to the update, but after manually installing, when complete & I clicked the restart button, after a pause Windows prompted me for administration permission... Since installation was apparently complete, what was that for!? No surprises we're still on Chromium 109. In my previous post, I commented but didn't get a reply to: surely, from a developer point of view, the Chromium core is just a bunch of APIs, so to use a newer core, you just update the APIs!? It's not logical you'd start with Chromium browser source code & then make changes & add in all the Maxthon elements... Please confirm.

Your website still has spelling mistakes & poor grammar: It should read, "Designed for Web3, with built-in Notes & Password Manager" That should read, "Browser features comparison" & if Opera were included too, most of the features 'unique' to Maxthon are in Opera too, which is always kept up-to-date! -------------------- I suspect the Chromium core, from a developer point of view, is just a bunch of APIs & as such, upgrading the core is simply a matter of using the newer APIs. The only reason to stick with the massively outdated v109 is to appease Windows 7 & 8 users, but doing so is losing everyone else as they're increasingly finding websites are no longer compatible. What usage figures does your telemetry report for Windows 7 & 8 users!? It can't be large numbers as almost everyone is running Windows 10 or 11!

This keyboard shortcut doesn't work and let me remind you that I have already asked several times to assign a keyboard shortcut to "passkeeper", is it such a big problem?

Yep, totaly agree with you. The gold might have some idea in the begging, but in never got (and, by the looks of things, it never will be) meaningfull. And now I spend the gold to buy membership for some absurd ammount of years, instead of leaving it go to total waste.

FYI, my banking site refused to open the site in ultra mode with a "connection refused due to outdated browser" message. When I changed it to retro mode, everything was fine. Much has been said about the OS/UA here. I can't understand why you guys just can't keep it updated, sigh...

Thanks Mhzayer and MichaelC362. I've retried several times but can't get it to work. Works fine on Chrome. EDIT Found the solution. It was Scriptsafe and Ublock Origin extensions blocking scripts. Ones that marked as unsafe and normally blocked. It's also working fine with the standard MX UA i.e 121 not 109.

Today, when I started it for the first time, Maxton itself opened 2 tabs, which I opened 4 days ago, after which it successfully froze. Through Windows Task Manager, I terminated 3 Maxton processes from 9-11, after which the computer stopped responding. I had to restart Windows using the reset button. This is the second time that this version of Maxton behaves in an incomprehensible way; this did not happen in earlier versions.

Weird. I disabled all extensions and it worked. Then turned them back one by one and now it works!

They've opted for the hardest path They can do as other chromium based browsers are doing and all windows 11 users will be happy But that would make older windows users not happy and going for 2 Maxthon versions 1 for win11 and 1 for older windows is beyond their capabilities So we should wait for a genius Dev that's will magically come up with a new Maxthon that surpasses all other browsers We still can dream

That seems HIGHLY unlikely... it would effectively amount to a complete rewrite every time there was a core update (obviously, as Maxthon only update the core every few years, that may not seem so bad to them! 🤐). If, (I doubt!) as you have said before, the development team are 'working on the core update' that must mean they started, again & again, every time a new core came out, but rather than complete the work, they just abandoned it when the next core was released. This simply can't be true! 😕 Do you have telemetry data for Windows versions in use & if so, what's the percentages for 7 & 8? Since (as mentioned previously), someone else has a forked version of Chromium that even works on XP, but still has the feature set & security of current Chromium, if you're so fussed about losing Windows 7 & 8 users, why not do the same for Maxthon!?

Maxthon is the default (no others installed (except awful Edge)), but the installation had completely finished & I'd already given administrative permission during the installation. But, as you say, it could have been taking over file/protocol settings, which really, it should have prompted or at least alerted me to, during the installation!

I was watching a video on YouTube and became interested in the "download video" button. I thought it was some browser extension that added it. I clicked on this button, and an authorization request appeared. When I saw that it was Maxthon's authorization, I declined it because I didn't need any authorization or synchronization; I prefer to keep everything on my computer. And after I clicked cancel, I ended up with a clean profile in the browser, as if I had just installed it. All settings, extensions, and everything else disappeared. Now the question is, where did my profile go, and how do I get it back? I don't see any option in the settings to switch to the previous profile. The browser only suggests signing into an account. Where is my local profile?

I never log in and just use Guest account.

Hi Refix2, bug reported. Hi Refix2, I have flagged out your request to the team and this shortcut will be added in the next version.

Strange behavior. Usually, in browsers, a second profile is created when you decide to log into an account. Then you can switch between the authorized account and the guest one. But here I don't see anything like that. To make matters worse, there's no backup left. I was writing a new script and didn't manage to save it to the backup. A whole day's work disappeared, along with the browser profile. A day of life lost ☹️
