Totally agree Nowadays with the help of the AI it's obviously mere laziness in keeping up with the latest Chromium update I'm sure there is something wrong with their approach I said it many times instead of keeping us outdated they should have a strategy to implement the new Chromium updates ASAP to a new Beta version this way we can rest assured that the stable will not be far away from the updated Chromium Unless they consider changing their strategy We'll just keep testing old bugs and issues that are fixed by Google Please Devs don't think separately consult AI This will surely get you in the right path

Hello! I noticed some time ago, but every now & then, the number of updates counter, when installing overtop an existing installation, is reset to 1. So, although I have installed Maxthon updated versions MANY times, it now shows "9". Also, the last 'stable' release was well over 2 months ago. What's the update on a newer Chromium core as you're now 9 versions behind!? Not keeping that up-to-date means you're constantly having to fix bugs that are already fixed in a newer core! It also means incompatibility & security issues are only increasing, the older Maxthon gets. You'd appease a LOT of people's complaining if you just kept the core up-to-date & got Widevine working. I stick with Maxthon as it's the fastest browser I've tried & I like the look & features, but I still MUST have at least 1 other browser installed (I have Opera + DuckDuckGo) for instances where I can't use Maxthon... I'd rather only have 1 browser & I'd like that to be Maxthon! When you've previously said a new core means a complete rewrite each time, that either simply can't be true or you're doing it wrong! Since other one-man-bands (you've cited the "developer", rather than "developers" before) are able to keep the core updated, surely it's just a matter of using the new APIs?

Use default MX7 UA (user agent). It's old known problem with changed UA.

Hello! When clicking a 'magnet' link, one is informed 'enhanced download' needs to be enabled... The instructions say it's in "Settings-Function Management", but it isn't (there's no such location under settings!), it's under "Features" & even then requires the 'questionable' "Bright VPN" to be enabled too. There's an "Open Settings" button, but clicking it does nothing...

Hello ever maxthon worker... I have been using maxthon since maxthon since 2012 or maybe even 2011 and then i made an account in 2013 cause i really loved it and used that literally for every thing, every day anything... now... since maxthon 7 which i have been using for years now which i just really love that i can use the liner with right click (hold) i just love maxthon but you know what i literally have been doing for "years" now? ..I do not update my maxthon cause yall seem to be destroying my entire browsing experience.. the browser lags now once more i just downloaded version "maxthon_7.3.1.4201x64" and after only a few min i had to turn back to version7.1.8.9001(64-bit)0516 cause it is slow, lagging... just horrible experience... my CPU usage is through the roof... my fan spin like jeffrey epstein is chasing them and they are a little boy I had this years back also... maxthon is the reason i thought my pc is old and broken cause every time i use maxthon my fans would go buck wild crazy... I do not know how yall can just destroy good working browsers and make them slower... it is infuriating so i convert back to the older version.. I have not updated my maxthon since maxthon "7.1.8.9001(64-bit)0516" and never had a problem but recently youtube is buffering me on every video which i think it is because the adblock is not working anymore because the browser is outdated so they fixed that for my old browser so i thought "maaaaaybe" the guys at maxthon fixed their issues with making the browser slower with every update but i was wrong it is the same thing... over and over again... What for? This is useful extension and I need it. This can be done easily in the code!! The maximum width of the menu and the overflow/text-overflow parameter must be set . Line spacing is set by line-height parameter That's it. They're just lazy and don't care. When I was making skins for Max, I was constantly correcting their numerous css and html bugs. Unfortunately, this is not possible now. You can only edit modules in the webui folder. But my interest disappeared a long time ago.

The video download feature is useless. I'm rarely able to download anything.

I had disabled sync since the version 7.2.2.4800 because cloud were keeps on deleting my passwords. I tried today with 7.3.1.4200. It messed up again. All passwords and account names on passkeeper has weird characters and passwords deleted/empty. I restore local backup and disabled sync and keep on backup localy until this fixed. Cloud still isn't reliable yet. I don't know maybe previous versions keeps on messed up my cloud passwords. I there any option to reach and see cloud account data and check if they are corrupted or not, like we were seeing years ago in MX account? Or any other ways to sync local data only to cloud?(not merge or prevent cloud to overwrite local) If, so how? I agree. I have one browser for streaming DRM protected content, a different browser where I need to stay logged into Google and other services, and finally a third that is set to delete all cookies and data on exit. "Siloing" my online data and using different browsers that have different strengths is powerful and liberating. One downside is needing plenty of RAM, but I manage with 16GB.

The days where only one Browser Rules is over Nowadays you have to have all possible browsers installed and each will serve for some needs

If the quick access data of the new tab page restored to the default, you can 1. Exit the browser 2. Open the installation path, such as C:\Users\lenovo\AppData\Local\Maxthon 3. Open the account folder, find the folder "Backups" > "QuickAccess," select one backup file which you'd like to restore, rename it to "QaConfig.dat," 4. Back to your browser account folder, open the folder "QuickAccess," use the backup file to replace the current one. 5. Restart the browser To check the installation path, you can run the Maxthon 6 installation package.

It's interesting what you're writing, I've never had this problem. If it happened that after installation (update) a search engine other than Google would be reported, after entering the settings and restoring it back it remained like that. In my opinion your problem lies with the system, configuration or permissions.
