I suspect the same. Years of chaoting developement neglecting reported issue may have lead to a situation in which files into userdata are still read and produce an effect even if the corresponding feature is not present in the new version. Dirty data could do that. But I believe it's the developer work to come up with a solution instead of the user start anew every time. Expecially when often updates are forced onto the users. Also, Userdata is full of suspiciously redundant data, there's no way to clean it without knowing what every file does.

Hi! Several requests for developers. 1. The status bar has items for displaying the current external IP address. But if you enable any VPN, the status bar always shows the old address, which does not change to the real current one. I would like this item to show the real address and also have the flag of the current country. 2. Add a tool / button for pinging the current page to the status bar. 3. Add a Disable extension item to the extension context menu. Now to disable it you have to open the settings with a full list of all extensions.

After MX updated the core, restore last closed tab logic I think changed, so when you click restore tab then you lose its history (buttons back and forward becomes inactive).

Hello. Just some general questions regarding versions. 1. Why, in the "Release Notes" section of you website there isn't a specific menu item/page for MX7 (there is a unique place for MX6 and MX7)? Also, such separation should exist in this Forum. 2. So far (even if with some exceptions), WinPC MX releases ending by a "whole" thousand (e.g. 7.1.6.1000, 7.0.0.3000, 7.0.0.2000, 6.2.0.2000, etc.), were marked as "Official", but now V7.1.6.2000 is still a "Beta": how come? What are the release numbering criteria? 3. Why mixing Official and Beta versions in the same page? Wouldn't it be easier to have also a page for "Official only" or separate Betas from Officials? Have you tried to work in safe mode where all extensions are disabled? Give it a try to see if your problem is in an extension BTW We're all here to help each other so don't worry next time you will help

My home Mx.6000 suddenly stopped working last week (Facebook logged out and can't log in again, can't login to my account on the Internet provider etc). I didn't install any new extensions, didn't browse any dangerous sites, just usual home Internet environment. Nevertheless on the phone (Facebook) and my office PC with .6000 all sites are ok. I cleared all user data and removed Maxthon. I tried to install the latest beta and you see what happend. It doesn't work. I see the problem on my side and I can't figure out what happened. All other things on my home PC are ok. No crashes, no unusual activities, no virus detections. Except the Maxthon. I am really sorry I have disturbed you.

I would also advise that you check the AgentUser String. There are occasions that 109 for the Chrome identity seems to appear. This will sometimes cause problems with CloudFlare queries that become continuous loops. Magdalene has given us several strings to try. Personally, I put in 132 for this build. It has worked fine.

Restore history of the restored last closed page under Restore Closed Page Button. Previously, using the Restore Button to reopen the last closed page also allowed users to navigate back through the page's history. This feature has been missing for a long time. Currently, accessing the history through the menu is possible, but it is less convenient than using the Restore Button. Could this functionality be reinstated?

I wrote for this problem since the first beta with the new core. Didn't try the alfa's, so no clue if it was present there. Also I'm always using dark themes. But I tried with light theme and it still exists. As if the background of the download window is split in half.

Open the account folder, find the folder "Backups" > "QuickAccess," select one backup file which you'd like to restore, rename it to "QaConfig.dat," 4. Back to your browser account folder, open the folder "QuickAccess," use the backup file to replace the current one. 5. Restart the browser To check the installation path, you can run the Maxthon 6 installation package.

Viewing a PDF on a website, click download icon, select open, PDF displays ok, click print icon & print dialogue displayed & printed page #1 ok, then rotated the paper to print page #2 on same sheet... now, the print icon doesn't work at all! I would like to try to remind you of one development that you have thrown out. In the 4.x version there was QA with division into tabs. It was very convenient. Creating tabs by topics is incomparably easier than navigating in a vertical list without reference points, in which new links are created only at the end. In any interface, the user finds 2 things very convenient: when the selection list can be covered with a glance, and when the menu item or link is in a familiar place. QA with division into tabs implements both of these possibilities. And if you ask: "Why not make this hierarchy in Bookmarks ?", then I will ask you: "Why not do only Bookmarks - without QA?" p.s. Maxthon has always been distinguished by the presence of interesting unique features. Today - most of these features - are implemented by other browsers, but I have not encountered QA with tabs.

Please solve the problem, on the portable version it always asks me to log in to the google account, on the installation version it doesn't ask me. Then HBO MAX works on the portable version and it doesn't work on the installation version.

Thank you for the information. This is acceptable behavior even though when we check "BETA" checkbox we do agree to receive an "unstable" version. So waiting for the user feedback to push it via auto-update should not be necessary, however, it is better to have a slight delay of a few days and receive the latest beta than not to receive it at all

Yeah, this feature is not crucial, and there are more important things, but if you implement it, it needs to function like in all other applications. Also, that feature is already there, they just need to ditch the idea that "only some beta will be pushed through auto-update feature" and make it so that all betas are included. I have multiple devices and it is a big annoyance to check every day if there is a new beta, download it, and then install it manually on all those devices. A fully working feature of auto-update where "up to date" really means up to date would make my life a lot easier.

Let me prove again the point about the built-in update feature of Maxthon and its uselessness and how it deceives users. It says I'm up to date. But am I? No, I'm not. It's a factual lie. It is extremely annoying and shows disrespect to its users.

But how can I use my MX-5 QuickAccess data (Guest Profile) in MX-6 ?? That makes me totally mad since some months. Every time I've copied the MX-5 "QaConfig.dat" file to the MX-6 installation path and its quickaccess folder (in my case: D:Program Files\Mathon 6\User Data\Profile 1\QuickAccess/) and restart than the MX-6 Browser, it shows me always again and again the MX-6 Default QuickAccess Data/Links !! And also every time I've killed all MX-6 Default QuickAccess Data Links per hand from the maxthon start screen, they are all back in very fresh condition, after I restart MX-6. I believe in the meantime, they have "7 lives" like a cat !! :(((
