Using Maxthon PC 7.5.2.9800 in Windows 11.
I am all of a sudden experiencing location problems in Maxthon on my Windows 11 desktop PC. I am not sure when it started but I noticed that when I open Google Maps, my location (blue dot) is incorrect.
I am guessing Maxthon is using a location based on my IP instead of my default location as set in Windows 11 Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Location. I have allowed Maxthon / Google Maps website to access my precise location, but it still won't use it and always defaults to the approximate one which is 100 km off.
I have tried it in incognito mode to exclude the possibility of corrupt cookies, but it's the same. I have also cleared cookies for Google / Google Maps website, and it's still the same.
In Edge the location is displayed correctly after allowing it. It seems like Maxthon refuses to query the Windows 11 default location set in Settings.
Can anyone else confirm this issue in Maxthon?
