It sounds like the latest update may have changed the browser’s tab behavior and enabled automatic tab switching when opening links in a new tab. Try checking the browser settings under Tabs, Browsing, or Open links in new tab options and look for settings such as "Switch to new tab immediately", "Open in background", or "Focus new tabs when created". Disable auto-switching if it is enabled.
If the option is missing, this could also be a behavior change or bug introduced in version 7.5.2.5400 (64-bit). Other users experiencing the same issue should report it so the developers can consider bringing back the previous background-tab behavior.
Background tab opening is important for users who open multiple pages while continuing to work on the current page, so hopefully this can be restored in a future patch.
