How To Use Tab Groups In Maxthon?

I can create a new tab group and add the tabs I need to it.
But after restarting the browser, this tab group is nowhere to be found and isn't saved.
Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I don't need the installed version.
Disabling extensions doesn't help.
Furthermore, I downloaded a new, clean copy of the browser and got the same result.
Also, when I try to move a group of tabs to a new window, the browser closes.
