i get a errror white this versie

runtime error! - abnormal program termination

this on a old system
Windows ME -internetexplorer 6.0

white the versie Maxthon Classic Version 1.6.5 Build 18 i dont get a error
Wow! Thank you very much for new version. My opinions:

* "Show tray icon" option is actived but not show in System Tray.
* What's New.txt (changelog) file not updated. But writing that: "Added anti-lockup technology". Is this isolator technology? I hope that.
* If Maxthon crashed (or manually terminated from Task manager), RSS.ini cannot save. So, if add new feed is added, dissappear feeds.
* Maxthon.com home ve Download page show still 1.6.5 version.

No Setup SearchBarEngine
OHHHH SHIIIIIIIII
things I've noticed so far

-Capital One can now be logged into. Great!

EDIT nevermind this is still broken (ad hunter's float ad blocker no longer blocks Facebook website components when you mouse over them)

-love the new built-in speed dial on new blank tabs

-HATE that the address bar isn't automatically given focus when I open a new blank tab

-installing the update seems to have deleted my custom search settings. NOT COOL.

-in fact, the search bar isn't working at all right now. typing something and hitting enter does nothing. I can click the multisearch button on the right, but this is a pain. I might need to re-enter my search settings before it works again? also, clicking the magnifying glass dropdown icon in the left part of the search bar causes a crash error.

WinME needs the ANSI version, which did you install?

Since you've kept a backup (so did Maxthon btw in Config\Backup), just copy/paste the search defs, and yes, if there's nothing there it'll die...was reported, didn't get fixed apparently.

UPDATE: Only happens if the Server Supplied list also isn't downloaded...
Are the quicksearch settings still stored in setupcenter.ini? If so, my settings are still intact in that file, but they aren't showing up in Maxthon.
Manually reentered my quicksearch settings and now everything seems to be in order. Thanks for the tip on where to find the backup, JarC.

EDIT: actually, search aliases don't seem to be working now. the searchbar searches whatever search site is selected, regardless of whether an alias letter is included. Arghh...

EDIT 2: I noticed that after I manually reentered my quicksearch settings in the Maxthon search settings menu, a new [QuickSearch] entry appeared at the end of config.ini with all the details I'd just entered, and different formatting from how they were stored in setupcenter.ini. Maybe this is related?

In any case, search aliases still aren't working.

thinks for the information i get the ansi version to dowmload
Two floatbar-related issues that still exist in this version (I know it's a plugin, but it's worth mentioning)

-adhunter's popup blocker blocks floatbar's "Open in new tab" function. I have to hold ctrl or disable popup blocker to get around this

-gmail still causes a maxthon crash (attributed to floatbar.dll) when you click anywhere in the Composition box, even if floatbar is hidden (but not if the plugin is completely disabled)
Noticing some strangeness with the layout of the searchbar selection dropdown, too.

There used to be a small divider line between the search selections and the setup options. Now they're all sort of jumbled together. Not a big deal, but I'm wondering if this might have some relation to the other searchbar problems noted earlier.

Some obsolete options and menu items are removed.
...
Changelog
* removed "Arrange Icons" command from Windows menu

Obsolete???? !!!???? Who says??? Then why is there still an option to minimize/restore tabs???

This don't make sense...it's crippling...
what did "Arrange Icons" do exactly? I don't even keep the Windows menu on my bar because I always have tabs maximized...

Reply 17# tombones's post

I'm sure you know how minimized tabs look, if not then just do a couple...see how you get out of that one...

The resulting mini caption which is almost impossible to manipulate by hand ends up either top left or at the bottom, if top-left then all of them will overlap, stacked on tip, since they cannot be moved that easily as there's little room to click on, arrange icons would get you of this tight spot by, arranging the minimized captions along the bottom. In fact, handling minimized tabs is unworkable.
And the window menu is even useful with maximized tabs...allows alternative tab locating/activating on a smaller, vertical area, like when hiding the tab bar.

So, here goes, my list of bugs:

  • Quick Search has a new format and also has been moved to a different file. That's in itself no problem, but the old format quicksearch is still present in setupcenter.ini and neither of the two work...all that happens is that your default search engine searches for alias AND keyword...
  • no quicksearch definitions and no downloaded server supplied list leads to crash
  • Folders sidebar on Windows7, CTD everytime with the same error address.
  • Search Sidebar returns a 404 (still)
  • Add Search Engine...returns 404
  • Quick Access opened in a restored tab or Maxthon itself in restored view, does not zoom out to fill the tab when maximizing. but if starting with a maximized tab or Maxthon, then it resizes when you resize the window it's in
  • If closing a QuickAccess tab where QuickAccess still shows small, then the next blank tabs also will start with this small QuickAccess size

    Copy/Paste would have been easier...

    Confirmed

No issues what so ever, in fact I've difficulties to even get it showing on the GMail logo, in fact I've got difficulties to get it showing everywhere... strike that, found why...fixed (stupid max hot area)

I don't think I'm seeing this, I can't seem to get any errors. Just to be sure, what is CTD?

Got the error when refreshing the folder sidebar, CTD? M1 closed It seems only to crash when I've opened a folder. If I do a refresh without an opened folder, it does nothing.

    This is the error message
