Why all the good stuff are usually removed in the public release? it wasn't that buggy.

True but it was just a test and only working on Windows7, so likely not completely done, plus we've had enough flack for other new features which had minor 'startup' issues. I for one would love to see the trick that makes it work on Windows7 also work on XP (on which at least 2 of those Win7 features are also possible with help of utilities)

The soon-to-be released Windows 7 optimized version of Maxthon will support various mew features of Windows 7, such as windows management, task bar enhancements like preview and jump list

When when when...

Btw, am I missing somwthing on what MoMo and JarC are talking about?
Jump Lists still work fine, but tab thumbnails aren't in this version.

Ok, I suppose that in an internal version, all those features was present

But, what you mean with "jump list still work fine"? The only difference from version 2.5.9, here, is that in M2 icon you can find also the Close Windows option. If you pin any webpage on the icon, you can open them with M2 either in 2.5.9...

Why has it been removed if you don't have the replacement yet? God... worse and worse with every release.
Bug: with this version, it happen many time that when I minimize M2 to icon, only the user interface minimize, but the web page and a small border of all the windows remain visible. Maximize it and reduce again solve the problem.

Why? It's a beta release, not a final, so not everyone is expected to use it, only those desiring to TEST this version. Why worry about what's been removed; just test what is there and continue to use your best final installation for regular use.

Can not confirm this behavior; minimizes just fine for me. WinXP Home SP3, IE8, Maxthon2 2.5.10.

Dunno what you're looking at but the Close Window was the one item already there ...

it's all the other options that are new...

Or did you have 'jump' items for History, Setup Center, New Tab, hot links before this version?

Any heavy type graphics rich websites loaded at the time of minimizing?

I see it rarely, but when I do, I have noticed that I usually have some graphics intensive website loaded and it seems to lag a bit minimizing the tabs area too (as if it is still swapping them out of memory)

Well... I do not have the neither in this version...
Maybe the problem should be I am on an x64 version? Or...the problem should be I just install 2.5.10 over the 2.5.9...

Will check for it next time it happen...
thanks, try it tonight
The new beta version has apparently a nasty bug - at least on my system.

I'm running Windows 7 x64. If I have several tabs open and minimize M2 my screen flickers and I get a skeletal M2. The top of the screen is a black bar and the main area with the webpage is still there, no menus, no symbols. I have to go to the taskbar, maximize M2 again and minimize it again. After that everything is alright again.

It IS a beta issue because I switched back to the last final and it DOES NOT show this kind of behavior.

Just a question ...

... why was the Guardian removed?
Maxthon 2.5.12.4200, IE8, Win7 x64

"Old Login Windows" option

if only there would be "old login window" option

therefore i am still using 2.5.3.80 version (login window appears first)

That would be very thankful

Thanks
