Favorite?  Is there a single place where the latest version of More Options 1.x can always be found and downloaded?

I did not think it was on the ADDONS site and that only ABC@HOME was the only one who knew where it was because it was where he put it.

Maybe I'm a bit confused here.  Too much celebration for new years maybe.

I had thought that it might be that for every update of Maxthon 1.6.x, there would be a need for an updated version of More Options 1.6.x.

If both the main Maxthon 1.6.x program AND the corresponding More Options 1.6.x plug-in were in a single place or listed on the main page one right after the other (kind of like how they have IrfanView and the IrfanView plug-ins identified as a pair of downloads) it would be less of a bother.

Like here on the home page:

On the right side it says:

Classic Version
Latest Version
Installed Version

for the Maxthon releases.

Why not do something like that either on the front page with those or in the Addons site?  Maybe like:

MAXTHON 1 SERIES:
- Classic Maxthon 1.6.5.18
- More Options 1.6.2

MAXTHON 2 SERIES:
- Latest Maxthon 2.1.5.1250
- Latest More Options 1.3.3

Could they put the same type of thing there that links to More Options?

"Get More Options for Maxthon Classic"

Something like that?

I would like the original More Options to be easy to find and be listed right with the Maxthon 1.6.x classic so you know for sure what the latest working versions of both are.

Say they had updated Maxthon Classic and had to update More Options as well because of that.  It could be:

Download Maxthon Classic 1.6.9.5
Download More Options For Classic 1.6.9.5

That way the version numbers match.  You know right away that not only is there a new Maxthon Classic but a version of More Options has been specifically identified as the one designed to work with Maxthon Classic 1.6.9.5.

I hope that makes some sense.

Okay - that is a very good point.  It's obvious to me now that the pre-new year celebration stuff totally wacked my brain.

In way of explanation, More Options is for me, the single best plug-in I've ever come across for my beloved Maxthon 1.x.

I don't want to even open IE without Maxthon and More Options in place.  I'm that fanatical, I guess.

So when they did this strange site redesign, the official thread that was used to introduce and discuss the More Options 1.x plug-in seems to have disappeared.

So a newer version of Maxthon 1 came out - 1.6.5.18, and I don't know if More Options 1.6.2 will have to be updated in order to work with the updated Maxthon properly.  The reason I am not sure about this is due to the quickie release notes that ABC put up for the 1.6.2 release:

More Options plugin is updated to 1.6.2:
- compatible with maxthon 1.6.4
- plugin related functions are restored

It says "Compatible with Maxthon 1.6.4", right?  So I'm wondering - wait - if Maxthon 1.6.5 is out, shouldn't there be an updated More Options to go with it?

You are kind enough to mention the http://addons.maxthon.com/ web site, which I'm not sure if I knew about, but it turns out that More Options 1.x by [email=ABC@HOME]ABC@HOME[/email] is not listed there, so that turns out to be a bummer.

So now I'm trying to figure out if any update to More Options is needed to work with Maxthon 1.6.5.18 and if they are needed, where am I going to find them?

Then I am thinking "Well, what version of More Options works with what version of Maxthon?"  Is More Options 1.6.1 the version that is to be used with Maxthon 1.6.3.80?  If that is the case, what version of Maxthon is More Options 1.6.2 designed to work with?  and lastly, if Maxthon 1.6.5.18 is out, should there be an update to More Options 1.6.2 in order to get that all working together properly?

Now I'm thinking "OK, first, why isn't [email=ABC@HOME]ABC@HOME's[/email] latest release of More Options listed on that addons site?" and then I'm thinking "What do we have to do to get that thing put up there so anybody can find it if they want to?"

I'm also thinking "Is there any official place right now where you can not only download More Options, but get info about what versions each More Options release is compatible with?  Detailed Release Notes and such for each version?"

That's my long and winding tale of woe.  I should know better than to try posting on New Years Eve and New Years Day.  Will I ever learn?

Anyway, I'm still looking for answers on this More Options / Maxthon 1.6.x thing.

I hope someone can help put all those questions to rest, I guess.

More Options 1.6.2 is the latest version and it works with Maxthon 1.6.5.

More Options 1.6.1 is designed to work with Maxthon 1.6.3.80, correct?

If I want to upgrade to Maxthon 1.6.5.18, I will need to use More Options 1.6.2 instead of 1.6.1, correct?

How can I prevent More Options from constantly sorting my QuickSearch list? I have cleared the option yet it still sorts it every time I access the Maxthon Options

Probably due to changes at Google, but both Gmail notifications and google page rank plug-ins are no longer working

Page Rank addon stopped working quite a while ago already, Google finally had enough and changed the algorithm for the hash seed again...

but an update is in the works ...

As for the GMail notifier, I've not noticed it stopped working...?
it does have a peculiar way of checking though. So it may appear as if there is no new mail while the tooltip says it has...

This is because it compares the number of new mails in the current check with the number in the previous check, and if there's no additional new mail received it will display the gray icon and the tooltip says "No new mail(x)"

Quite confusing, so I have modified my copy to show the highlighted icon for as long as the new mail is unread.

Here's a snapshot of both problems I'm facing.

1. Clicking on OK in Gmail popup brings up the second popup. I have M1 installed in Program Files(x86). Should I  move this to Roaming folder?

2. The second problem is what happens when I double click on Gmail icon on the status bar, Quick Access opens with Gmail on the tab and Gmail in the address bar. I have no clue what would cause this.

That was my first thought when I saw the error dialog in your screenshot as the notifier script modifies itself to keep track of the last check. So a copy will always end up in your VirtualStore folder. But I've been trying myself and even though there's now a copy in the program folder structure and one in the VirtualStore, it keeps working...(but I have not tried in a regular user account)

Quick Access That's what causing it...see the 'other' forum...

I have double click on page set to close page and double click on tab bar set to open a blank tab. I'm using more options with auto hidden tab bar. If I double click the auto hidden tab bar, a blank tab isn't opening but the tab closes. Works ok if the tabbar isn't auto hidden so I placed this in MO thread instead on MC thread.
