The New Year is comming. Maxthon take this opportunity to release a new beta version and invite testing and feedbacks by our users. We will do our best to release the new official version before the New Year to enable our users a better browsing experience. This update has introduced many new useful features, like sending the current page or current page URL by email. Yet the most significant change is the improvements in performance. This version has a lot of optimization in page loading, which will be especially noticeable for users with less powerful computer and/or slower internet connection. In addition, this version also included the highly requested multi-dictionaries support for the spell check function. Users can download the appropriate dictionaries for various languages. Please note that after installation of this update (by overwriting the existing installation), the browser menu has to be reset in order to use some of the new features. For reseting the browser menu, please right click the Menu bar, click "Customize...", go to the "Toolbars" tab, highlight "Menu Bar" and click the "Reset" button. Can't confirm, it opens whatever size window it was closed at here...

- Magic Fill automatically fill forms, although the options is unticked in MSC. - "Finish" in Config Wizard does not close the tab.

Confirmed here, if only resize the height for a fresh install, the size can't be kept. If both width and heigth are altered, it can be saved correctly.

Maxthon Website Booster is a new technology. It will help to make site faster by some kind of cache. But it have to be supported by the website, and currently only a few Maxthon's sites are supported only.

AFAIK, Super MSA is actually still using IE cache, and can be used on all website but may have some side effect.

I don&#39;t like to use betas so I will wate for the final but can some body that is using the beta comment on the auto hiding of the toolbars. How is it working? It was the one thing I missed most from Maxthon1.

When M2 is closed and reopened, it displays recently closed tabs, not just those tabs that were active when closed. Hope this is not a new feature []

When using auto hide the tabs don't change when you scroll with your mousewheel over them (they will when you've scrolled the active page all way down) Other than that it works good.

Is quite similar to the full screen view. The difference is that mouseovering the top make the Toolbar slide in, and mouseovering the bottom make the same with the statusbar. If you like, you can test this beta leaving your current M2 install untouched, taking care to give it manually a different folder name/location during the install process. (eg. C:\Program Files\Maxthon2beta) [:smile:]

Likewise, scrolling up has opposite effect.

Auto hide don't keep its state after restart. If you have auto hide enabled and using fullscreen and then hovering to make toolbars appear they will not fill out and status bar will appear some place over the bottom. I like this new auto hide mode, trying to find bugs so it can be a better feature!

Minimizing M2 corrects this.

How can you minimize when it&#39;s fullscreen? (win+m and back didn&#39;t help, nor minimizing before activating fullscreen)
