Thanks, abc@home, usefull plug.

But I can't see the last string - <i>Activate the Tab on left mouse down (instead of on mouse up)</i> not in english nor in russian. And also <u>string 9</u> in english language file are empty - what must be there?

IMO string 9 is a tooltip "More Options Plugin For Maxthon2", on WinXP in Czech works fine.

Yes, in Czech file I saw this string.

The last option was removed as maxthon is activating the tab on mouse down now. The screen shot and the language files had not updated.
Great [] I like it. You are always making very useful plugins.[] But the right click is closing the tab even if you are not clicking on close button. Is it possible to make the active zone of right mouse click equal to close button position (at least approximately)? And then the right click on tab title (not on close button) will show context menu. And what is not less important (as for me), when this "right click closing" option enabled - is to disable the native "left click closing", because sometimes I'm closing tab be mistake when activating some tabs. Is it possible to modify this option?
Excellent plugin abc&#33; I love the close tabs fix already. More Options was what I missed the most when changing to M2, and its great to see you making a new one. Thanks.

Does the setup dialog open when the icon is clicked? Have you disabled javascript? Please also check if any software had blocked the plugin, like antivirus/firewall.

I also can confirm that the tab previews are not working for me as well. And the Close Tabs option to use the clicked tab as reference is not working as well. So I guess the plugin isn't functioning for me at all. I also checked everything you asked and all is correct. And though I no longer see this, I did initially when the icon was not actually displayed but was in the dropdown from the right end of the plugin bar and am adding this to possibly help in the diagnostics:
Maxthon Guardian's window popped up when I first tired to run it but I okayed it and the dll should be registered.

I also noticed that DaniOK stated that his version is "maxthon is latest". The fact that this plugin is only for versions 2.0.6.xxxx and up, I hope these others that are saying it doesn't work are aware of this fact. The "latest" public release is version 2.0.5.7845, with version 2.0.6.8942beta also being out there to the public, which should be the only version currently available to the public that this plugin will supposedly work with. Just want to make sure that we are all talking about the same thing as we try and solve this mystery.

@abc@home I have had no luck from the initial release of this plugin on the private channel in getting it to work more than one time ( I just never returned to that private channel thread to report that, instead waited for this release, but problem is still present). I also have never been able to get More Options for Classic Maxthon to work for me beyond version 1.4.0; versions 1.5 and the latest 1.6.1 cause my Maxthon Classic to crash, simply shutting it down and closing the window. So, maybe I have some other computer problem that is preventing me from using these plugins that are highly HTML oriented. Just thinking out loud trying to give as much info as I can right now to help solve this, hopefully for others as well as me.

For this plug in to work it must be visible on a tool bar and you must have at least M2.0.6.xxxx Edit: Maybe visible is not the accurate word, active maybe better. For instance, having more options icon on status bar and applying full screen will not deactivate more options.

No options work, at all, including the "activate tab" option, which I had to try just for you since that's an option I would never want to use. It's as if the plugin isn't installed.

It acts following the default behavior; tabs to the right of the active tab close when I choose "close tabs on the right"

Unfortunately, I think this option is there because that is the way in which people asked for it and abc@home, whose native language is Chinese, added this option because he thought that's what was being asked for. I remember seeing the requests and all just asked to have the ability to "Close a tab with right click" instead of asking for the ability to "close a tab by right clicking the "X" on a tab". I never understood the request at first, since, as you pointed out, if right click closes the tab, then you can't access the right click context menu. So, in my opinion, abc@home just misunderstood the request and added this option to fulfill this request. Hopefully, he'll understand what was really requested and update the plugin to recreate the Classic Maxthon behavior; right click the close "X" if it is selected to appear on the tab from MSC. The amazing thing here is that, several years ago concerning Classic Maxthon (M1.x), there were numerous complaints about having to right click the "X' to close a tab, many not being able to find that instruction and wondered why left clicking the "X" didn't work, and almost demanding to make that choice at least an option. So when the developers built Maxthon2, they made left clicking the "X" the default behavior, and of course, everyone who was "happy" with the Classic Maxthon behavior finally spoke up. I believe that this should be an option in MSC>Tabs Bar>Show "Close Tabs" Button area and not be necessary to be in the More Options 2 plugin.

More options stopped working for me when it became hidden on the status bar(i had set to the far right and it went to the drop down menu). I moved it to where it was visible again, it did not work. I deactivated it in MSC, reapplied and still nothing. I deleted it from MSC and reinstalled to get it to work. I may have forgotten steps, but I don&#39;t think so.

I don&#39;t keep it visible. It works correctly on my first machine, but wouldn&#39;t work on the next. So I repeated the error I had made on the first, which was select both close on right click, and close all but selected tab. Tested it. Closed then reopened. Then changed it back to only closed all but selected, and now it works fine on both machines, and it is not visible. Preview, however, only works on the first, hidden or not.
