Description

Listen to the free last.fm radio stations in your Maxthon sidebar.
You can choose the following stations:
- user radio, listen to neighbour radio or recommended radio for a specific last.fm user
- tag radio, listen to a certain tag, like "pop", "jazz"
- artist radio, listen to similar artists or artist fan radio for a specific artist
- input your own last.fm radio station (starting with lastfm:// )

This Maxthon plugin can also display artist information (picture, related artists, top songs, top albums), last.fm user information (profile, recent tracks, weekly artist chart, recommendations and top artists).



About Last.fm

last.fm is an internet radio station and music recommendation system that merged with sister site Audioscrobbler in August 2005. The system builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste, also recommending artists similar to their favorites, showing their favourite artists and songs on a customizable profile webpage, comprising the songs played on its stations selected via a collaborative filter, or optionally, recorded by a Last.fm plugin installed into its users' music playing application.

How to install this Maxthon Sidebar plugin

For Maxthon 1.x:

1. Unzip the downloaded file to Maxthon's Plugin folder. (for example in "C:\Program Files\Maxthon\Plugin")

2. Restart Maxthon - the new plugin will be detected and you'll be asked to activate it.

3. Open the sidebar if it isn't already open in "View >> Explorer Bar".

You can enable or disable every plugin in "Maxthon Options >> Plugin >> Maxthon Plugin".

Can you explain if this works with your profile? I'm a paying last.fm subscriber so I get priority streams if I'm logged in, and I don't see a way to do this in this plugin. If I'm logged in in the actual Last.fm client will I automatically be logged in in the plugin? Thanks.

If you are logged into the last.fm website, this plugin should be logged in as well.

Automatic authentication doesn't seem to work, changing station is necessary to get it to work after logging in to lastfm!

you can customerize your own last.fm by using their new APIs

here is a simple way:
http://www.last.fm/widgets/radio/

then copy & paste the code into
\Maxthon2\Plugin\Last.fm Sidebar\lastFM.html

(I'm lazy guy who only wants to listen to the redio)
