Description

This plugin loads your del.icio.us favorites in the Maxthon sidebar. It has the same look & feel as the Maxthon 2.0 favorites sidebar.
It also includes an incremental (find as you type) searchbox.

You can now easily add, edit & delete your del.icio.us bookmarks!

How to install this Maxthon Sidebar plugin

For Maxthon 1.x:

1. Unzip the downloaded file to Maxthon's Plugin folder. (for example in "C:\Program Files\Maxthon\Plugin")
2. Restart Maxthon - the new plugin will be detected and you'll be asked to activate it.
3. Open the sidebar if it isn't already open in "View >> Explorer Bar".

You can enable or disable every plugin in "Maxthon Options >> Plugin >> Maxthon Plugin".

For Maxthon 2.0:

1. Unzip the downloaded file to Maxthon's Plugin folder. (for example in "C:\Program Files\Maxthon2\<<EmailAddress>>\Plugin")
Where you should replace <<EmailAddress>> with the email address you use for your Maxthon account
2. Restart Maxthon
3. If you do not see the plugin in the sidebar you might have to remove the "plugins.ini" file
in "C:\Program Files\Maxthon2\<<EmailAddress>>\Plugin" and restart Maxthon.
4. If you stil don't see the plugin you have to add this line to Plugins.ini, in the Maxthon2\<<EmailAddress>>\Config folder, after you've closed Maxthon:

I&#39;ve got the folder in my plugin folder for M2, but even after restarting it&#39;s not loading. Is it incompatible or is there something extra I need to do?

You have to remove the plugins.ini file in "Maxthon/<emailAddress>>/plugin/plugins.ini" and restart Maxthon. It's a bug in M2.0

Works great Neo101, have some suggestion/improvements: 1- Unicode support please. 2- Easy import/export via settings page. 3- a loading image to indicate that the page is being refreshed. 4- Auto reload. Sorry for the many requests, and Thanks..

I'm having difficulties with updated results in tags. If I already have a tag for something, and I add another page to that tag it won't update when I click redownload. Edit: Never Mind, was just taking a while to update.

1- I think it's the API from del.icio.us that doesn't really support unicode.
2- I'll add a link to the import/export from del.icio.us. Can't do it myself since the API doesn't support it.

I'll try to add a context menu. Then I can also add 'delete' links etc.

Seems like the data is cached and doesn't update immediately. But I don't think I can change that.

You should be able to export your Furls on the furl site, then you should be able to import them in del.icio.us > settings > import.
Can't do it inside the plugin I think.

I just started using it today, but I already can see this becoming my preferred location for my favorite collection . This plugin kills two major issues in one blow. It adds the incremental search of M2 to M1 and it solves the problem of syncing between the two. Not to mention the fact I can now dedicate M2's favorite sidebar to just Groups.

I registered just to tell you that this plug-in rocked. I've been using Maxthon for at least a couple of years [can't remember], and frankly it's my favorite browser by far! And plug-ins like this make it even better. ) Any ETA on an update with alphabetical listing? Peace.
