I have a major problem.  Whenever i right click to edit a dial, the dial editor does not open, and all functions of speed dial cease to operate.  i cant switch pages, i cant open dials by clikcing on them, and i cant open the page editor.  If i restart maxthon, then these functions work properly, but i still cant open the dial editor.  I've tried updating to the lastest versions of maxthon and speed dial and doing a clean install, but i have the exact same problem.  I prefer maxthon 2.1.5, but again, this happens even in 2.5.10.  I am using Windows 7 Build 7100.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance

Hello? Can anybody help please? abc? Anybody? I would really like to keep using this plug-in.  Has nobody else had this problem? fOrTune(r) seemed to describe something like this in a previous posts but the question was never answered.  Again, i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything (maxthon and the plug-in) clean, and it happens immediately.  Please help.  Thanks.

i can't confirm. seems to work fine for me. try to delete the configurations of the plugin.
EDIT:however, i don't have windows 7. i have windows xp sp3 32bit home edition.

Some russian users talk to me about it and I saw it by myself on virtual WinXP sp2. But it was older version.

Have you enabled UAC? If so you may try running maxthon as administrator to install and configure the plugin, or install maxthon to your windows user data directory (chrome does this to avoid many problems).

I completely disabled UAC when i first installed maxthon for the very reason that it couldnt write my user preferences.  And I can change the page settings (color, number of dials, etc...), so i dont believe it's a UAC problem.  it's the dials themselves that i cant edit.  i am getting ready to reinstall windows 7 but the RTM version this time.  i will reinstall maxthon and speed dial and see if the problem persists.  if you have any other thoughts in the meantime, please let me know.

Issues encounted when starting to use it on Windows7

When opening a blank page it shows despite configured not to,
need to close/reopen the page or press enter in the addressbar to get a true blank page.

When switching skins with a Blank Page active it also shows after the skin is loaded

How do you open blank page? I cannot reproduce this problem.

I used the New Tab button on the tab bar, and pressing enter in the addressbar is enough to get back to a blank page.

I really enjoyed this plug-in, but i have to say that it unequivocally does not work in windows 7.  I've tried, after a clean installation of windows 7 and maxthon 2.5.10 and speed dial 3.2.0 to add dials, and it simply freezes the plugin.  no changing of pages, no editing of page preferences or dials. i've tried downgrading to maxthon 2.1.5 and it still does not work.  is anybody else using windows 7, and are they also having problems?  i would absolutely love to be wrong about this.

Edit: I take back "unequivocally"   It works if maxthon 2.1.5 is run in XP / Vista Combatibility mode, but not if it's run natively in Windows 7 mode.

I am also using windows 7 but don't seem to have this problem.

Does speed dial freeze before the dialog shows up, or it freeze when you do some actions (which actions) on the dialog, or it freeze when the dialog is closed? Did Maxthon also freeze when Speed dial freezed? Also did Maxthon uses high CPU, say 100% or 50%?

since we are on Windows7, I assume UAC may be playing some role.

It could be useful to know how Maxthon2 was installed and also how the plugin was added.

Did a UAC warning message popup at any time during all of this?
