I analyzed the crash.dmp by using WinDbg, but the crash information is empty. Could you describe the steps which caused the crash? Did you install any unofficial extensions or antivirus software? Hi BugSir006, Perhaps I didn't do the "zipping" correctly, so I attach another try, including todays log. The computer is running 24/7 x 365. Overnight and sometimes when unattended during the day the monitor is powered down by switching off the mains power. I am unable to describe what happens when the browser crashes beyond what I have already said. Maxthon tool in use is the Download Manager; Addons are AdBlock Plus, RoboForm & DuckDuckGo. BugSir006
Hi CRB, 1. Please press the keyboard "Win+R", enter "%appdata%", press keyboard "Enter", find the folder "Maxthon5", rename or delete it. Then restart the browser. 2. If you still experience the issue please try to disable all of the extensions. 3. The last method is that you can install the version 5.2.7.1000 first. Install Version:http://dl.maxthon.com/mx5/mx5.2.7.1000.exe MD5:5946c54d65eea2a4f86b68b78e375a4b Portable Version: http://dl.maxthon.com/mx5/maxthon_portable_5.2.7.1000.7z MD5:786d63987a9ddb6b99e488acf0eb1071
CRB
Hello BugSir006, Thanks for the suggestions of 01 April. As you suggested, I deleted the "Maxthon 5" folder and, after recovering my favourites, all seems well at the moment. It has now been several days without the crashes and I hope that my problem has now been solved. Many thanks for your assistance,
