Maxion
I notice that if I try to access Wikipedia at https://www.wikipedia.org with the default settings in Maxthon I get the following message "Error code 100 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED)" and the page does not open. The workaround solution that I found is to use the switch core setting to IE (the default works). Is this a known issue with the particular website? Maxion
Thanks for the replies. I can access Wikipedia with no problem using IE 11 on the same PC. So far no other sites have given me this problem with Maxthon. I'm using Maxthon in a work environment where there may be some browsing restrictions Could it be a firewall setting? However, it's very odd that it would affect only the Wikipedia site.

Maxion
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using the portable version of Maxthon and in my case the first level directory is called MaxthonPortable, not Maxthon5.
BugSir006
In the portable version, you can try to rename the "UserData" to "UserData1".

Try to test that address with other versions, either 5 or 4. Do you have an active firewall?
