Buickman
I am using MX5 on Windows 8.1 64 bit, signed in as guest mode with all of the data feedback unchecked. When I start the browser, there are 10+ connections that start as well. Is the normal? Is the browser sending something even though the options are not checked? thanks for any help. PHYR
Normal, most browsers work this way now. Check others and you will see they also have multiple processes running
Golfmann
it helps avoid crashes killing the whole browser.
Buickman
Thanks for the answers, not trying to be a pain, just am seeking information. The only thing I was concerned about was that one of the connections was to smarturl-up.maxthon.com. I have the smart URL feature off. Also it connected to push-s.maxthon.com. I am using the browser as guest, no syncing. I just was curious why it was connecting to those. Thanks again. Edit: Never mind, I have moved to a differnet browser. The new tab/start page is internet based, not browser based (pc-newtab.maxthon.com). That means my speed dial URLs are hosted on maxthon. I do not care for that setup. Thanks again for your help.
