Hi,

Glad to talk to you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I guess you are seeing the old cache created before you setting a new location.

Also the default cache location is not C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Maxthon3\Temp\Webkit\Cache but %temp%\Maxthon3Cache\Temp\Webkit\Cache

Actually after setting the cache location, restart is required Maxthon.

And after setting a new cache location Maxthon won't delete its old cache in old location, so you may need to delete it yourself.

I hope this tip helps.

Thanks for your support of Maxthon!

Have a nice time!

Please, may I ask, why in the folder name is still Maxthon3, when we have Maxthon 4.x.xxxx? :-)

Maxthon 4 is basically built on MX3. I think it's a situation where if it's not broke, don't fix it.

I think it's really just a means of keeping userdata in place when migrating from MX3 to MX4. Although I still question why it can't be copied to a new folder (Maxthon4) during the install process.

I did delete it after setting my new location & restarted.

And today I have 14mb in right now?

Deleted it and restarted again will see what happens.

Thank you.

Changing works fine for me, all the cache data seems to be in the new location.

Only thing that is left in the original location is the crash data folder.

Cache location of private window do not follow the cache location setting. It is always at the default location. Suppose I set cache location to a ramdrive, cache of private window is still on harddisk at %temp%/Maxthon3Cache/....

I suggest cache of private window follow cache location setting (eg. create a subdirectory for private data).

No.

Maxthon is builded on Blink the same like Chrome.

But that does not make it Chrome - clone.

Check your CCleaner settings or download CCenhancer.
