  1. I see, thanks for your feedback. It's fix now.
  2. True, it's good for you. Not every user depend or feel convenient with retro mode (and of course it's not the default Mx core). Changing UA will make ultra mode become possible to force back Youtube into flash video rendering.
  3. Why so hard? Let's make it look so easy. Most older version of browser user agent can force back Youtube to provide flash video rendering. For example, you can force Maxthon into Youtube with flash video rendering by simply changing your Maxthon user agent into the older Firefox user agent (Firefox UA under v37 will force Youtube to provide flash video rendering). Eg. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Then the video on this Youtube link will rendered with flash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKD03uPVD-Q And off course, you can force back into html5 via this page. https://www.youtube.com/html5
  4. Well, have you ever checked the 1st post? It's not auto hide, I've added an additional Nitro UI skin with quicktool on navbar. So, is there anything else?
  5. You're so naive, there's nothing wrong with status bar. Just because you don't need it, doesn't mean everyone will same too. Many users still need and depend on some status bar features, there are some useful addons on status bar like network monitor, memory usage monitor, cpu monitor and so on. Well, no need to argue. I know all you need just simply like this. And of course, It's now available at no charge on the 1st post.
  6. Thanks, it looks neat and good too. Toolbar? maybe, a quicktool? on Nitro UI without auto hide, it located at the status bar. On Nitro UI with auto hide, you need to mouse hover on the left side of the address bar (mouse hover on the search icon at start page or mouse hover on the star icon at any web page) to show/hide bookmarks.
  7. Done, first post has been updated.
  8. It due the silverlight plugin which is causing this crash. Go to setting then unchecklist the enable GPU hardware acceleration option to disable the hardware acceleration and restart the browser.
  9. Chromium 37 doesn't have support for HTTP/2. HTTP/2 was available, starting from Chrome v40, Firefox v34 and Win 10 TP IE 11. And yes, it's not fully standards compliant, currently only HTTP/2 over TLS is implemented.
  10. Hello folks! Is there any chance for Maxthon to add HTTP/2 support? I've been testing with this demo site below and unfortunately Maxthon (latest beta) is not yet support HTTP/2 protocol. https://http2.akamai.com/demo I've been testing with other browser too (Chrome 41 & Firefox 37) and with this comparison result, HTTP/2 provide a significant performance advantages compared to raw HTTP/1.1. 13167
  11. KelvinSmith replied at 2015-3-16 12:53 Unfortunately, a lot of services and servers depend on SSL, not just HTTPS sites. Like: mail servers ... On this March, there is a new SSL/TLS vulnerability called the FREAK attack. It allows an attacker to intercept HTTPS connections between vulnerable clients and servers and force them to use weakened encryption, which the attacker can break to steal or manipulate sensitive data. The good news for us, Mx 4.4.4.3000 has passed this FREAK attack vulnerability issue. I don't know with the older Mx version but you can test the older Mx version with this link. https://freakattack.com/clienttest.html
  12. 7twenty Still there. Thanks, 7twenty. The SSLv3 poodle vulnerability issue is also still persist on Mx 4.4.4.3000
  13. Hello ppl, I've read if the superfish vulnerability issue was fixed on Mx 4.4.4.2100 but is there any progress with this security issue on the latest silent beta version (Mx 4.4.4.2200) ?
  14. You can try to add anti adblock filter or if you have greasemonkey extension, try to add anti adblock killer script. ABP anti adblock filter https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/antiadblockfilters.txt Greasemonkey anti adblock killer https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/735-anti-adblock-killer-reek/code
  15. bricky149 replied at 2015-3-2 20:35 I've decided to completely disable ABP in Maxthon due to the astronomical RAM usage it causes alone. ... Agree. If we just running Maxthon to open any page which is not so demanding on graphics and system resources, we can improve the Maxthon performance by disabling the gpu hardware acceleration. Turning off gpu hardware acceleration can help to reduce the ram usage and makes Mx performance more stable. But in some case, disabling gpu hardware acceleration can also cause high cpu usage (eg. on streaming flash video etc).
  16. To be honest, Mx 4 with ABP does not responsive like Mx 4 with AdHunter. ABP applying it's own stylesheets based on what rules are hit by the page. It causes increasing RAM usage, slows down page loading and sometimes make Mx performance become unresponsive. At this time, what we can do to improve Mx4 performance and responsivity is just avoid using unnecessary ABP filter, use the ABP filter that we needed only, too many filter can make your Mx unresponsive. I am personally using easylist without element hide only and it can help a bit the Mx performance and responsivity. https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/easylist_noelemhide.txt IDM integration is not related with Mx, IDM provides a specific extension/add-ons for any particular browser to improve file type recognition (eg IDM extension for Chrome, IDM add-ons for Firefox, IDM IE helper for IE etc), but the same IDM integration support is not yet available/provided for Maxthon. Mx magic fill can store multiple accounts from a website and picked one of them to be applied on there. But due to the website credential and for some security reason, I don't think if it can be used on any website for multiple login.
  17. Just a bit correction, unfortunately Mx Nitro gets SSLv3 warning too. According to https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/forum/#!topic/security-dev/Vnhy9aKM_l4 and https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/ SSLv3 has been disabled by default since Chrome 39 and Firefox 34. So, I assumed it due the outdated chromium core on Mx Nitro. I hope Mx will removing support for the fallback to SSLv3 on the next release.
  18. Nothing wrong at all. It just www.facebook.com which is not yet listed on mx safe url site list, at least the facebook domain is listed on mx safe url list. http://admin-safeurl.maxthon.cn/api/api.php?provider_name=pingan_white&url=https%3A%2F%2Ffacebook.com%2F redirect to http://www.maxthon.cn/security/safe/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffacebook.com%2F Anyway, CEAIA refers to China Electronics Industry Alliance certification services. http://ceaia.org.cn
  19. Today, my girlfriend tells me if she gets an ssl error alert from the web which more or less like this. "The client and server don’t support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. This is usually caused when the server needs SSLv3 support, which has been removed." I have tried to check and do the SSLv3 test on https://zmap.io/sslv3/ and unfortunately both on Ultra or Retro mode got same result with this notice. "Warning! Your browser supports SSLv3." I also take some test on the other browser like Nitro, IE, Chrome, Yandex and Firefox and each one of those passes the test without warning and only Maxthon which is fails. So, I just curious, is there a way to disable the SSLv3 in Maxthon? is Maxthon still safe for us?
  20. 30112853 replied at 2015-2-25 17:26 Yes sometimes Maxthon does, that's what makes this so strange, but there are also sites where it a ... As your mention with superfish site test, https://filippo.io/Badfish/ and https://lastpass.com/superfish/ both are using infected sampling to detect the superfish cert. In this case, lastpass.com is using https://superfish.xmarks.com/infected.png to detect the superfish existence which embeded on their html as an image. It's makes sense if Mx looks like not checking cert because Mx is not auto blocking bad content from bad SSL certificates which is mean all contents include the bad content like https://superfish.xmarks.com/infected.png will still automatically rendered without any prompt. This is really bad and off course it should be fixed on next release. Yes, it's not related but in case with https://nl.surveymonkey.com/ I'm not facing any issue, Mx still can check/recognize the rapidssl cert from ssl on that web (there is lock icon to ensure if the certificate has been checked). In case with Google redirection/forwarding, it's depend on geolocation (redirecting users based on their location or automatically choosing a country based on IP address). For example if you visit google.com and you are from Australia (eg. using proxy/ISP from Australia etc), you automatically get redirected to google.com.au. The same goes if you are from Holland, you will get automatically redirected to google.nl. It is widely used by big global organisations to redirect their main .com domain to local country based domains. It's not Mx bug. Here's the screenshot which was taken from https://nl.surveymonkey.com/ and https://google.nl Both on surveymonkey and google, there are a lock icon to ensure if the certificate has been checked by Mx. 11981 Last, lets wait to see the progress on next release.
  21. I don't think Mx not checking certificates. On my trial error with this url https://superfish.xmarks.com/infected.png Mx can check/recognize the cert and know the cert is invalid and then prompt their user to continue visit or not. It just Mx behaviour which is not auto blocking bad content from fake or bad SSL certificates at all. It's really bad behaviour and put their users at risk. This security issue should be on top priority list.
  22. Maxthon run with several process but unfortunately tab on Maxthon is not on separate process as a standalone process. In some case, this is good for memory optimization (reduce memory usage) but in another case, it's causing some delay and sometimes lag to render the entire web contents of the other tabs when several tabs are opened. For me, it's not a bug. It just a Maxthon memory optimization part. It's all up to you to continue using it or switch to the other one which is more suitable for your need.
  23. BugSir007 replied at 2015-2-16 13:30 Hi Dinataspace, Really sorry for the inconvenience. Which game are you playing that is making the ... I really appreciate with your fast respon but come on, stop pointing any kind related with flash issue into this two common answer, hardware acceleration and flash player outdated version. In this case, I already write at previous post that disable hardware acceleration is not a solution. For me, it just a quick fix solution by user, not kind a fixes from Maxthon side and Maxthon should no longer need to include/push their user to use an older flash player files in each release so their users can use their flash player installer as native/system flash player and then the outdated flash issue will never exist on this forum. I have read the crash log and yes, there is error occurs but why it's only happen if I use Maxthon with enable hardware acceleration and even with the same hardware acceleration enable, why this error was never happen on Chrome or Nitro (Chrominium base)? For trial error, you can try to play Farmville or another Zynga game with enable hardware acceleration and tell me why enable hardware acceleration was causing/triggering crash on Maxhon (error occurs at dx on crash log)? So, I assumed there is a problem on webkit core which should be fixed as soon as possible because If everything fine, I'm pretty sure this error/crash or any kind with flash player issue will never happen. Last, I also hope if Maxthon will release their 64 bit version, thank you.
  24. Absolutely agree, any kind related with flash player on Maxthon still need to be more optimized. In this case not so often but sometime crash still always comes, especially (in my case) if I'm doing something on a flash page which is require high demand gpu (eg. playing online games with high graphic frame rate/streaming full HD video with flash/not html5), it will causing Maxthon to be unstable and return with crash or sometime just frozen screen or not responding. It's no make sense, I'm on i7 with Nvidia. I know if nowadays many video hosting site using html5 but it's not a reason, we still need flash player because most of all web online games still on web flash base. I know if we disable flash hardware acceleration (not use hardware rendering) will help a bit but it's not a solution. Maxthon should evaluate their webkit core again and again and make any kind related with flash become completely working properly. In this case, Nitro more stable, no crash at all but unfortunately the Nitro development progress is too slow, the Nitro core is too outdated (not on the recent core like the other Chrominium base) a.k.a look like not a serious project. I'm not expect this issue will be fixed on next release, it's hard and need more time to evaluate. I just hope Maxthon dev team can resolve this issue as soon as possible.
  25. Oh, I forgot one thing. You should try to update your Maxthon version to the recent version. The core crash issue and flash filtering mistake were already fixed on the recent Maxthon version. Here's the fixes changelog at webkit core on Maxthon 4.4.4.2000 Fixed one Flash filtering mistake Fixed on core crash problem
