  1. Just a heads up if you're considering leaving the insider program, you will have to install the public release. None of your settings, programs or files are saved during the install.

  2. I think all apps can be uninstalled, but Cortana is more than just an ap, but you can "hide" her from right click on task bar.

All settings > system > apps and features.

And the start menu isn't much the "same" but rather much 'improved" but you can certainly make it look a lot like it did in Win7.

  3. I'll let our testing team conduct a thorough investigation about this issue.

Whatever the reason was for freezing of tabs opened from favorites seems to have fixed itself this morning, the sites I've tried open fine. May have been a connection issue. I can't remember the sites I was using yesterday for sure....

  4. yes. still the same problem.

Moreover, since last update, every time I want to use a favorite (downloaded from wifi), nothing happens, and after 10 secondes, the phone freezes... I have to hard reboot...

I'm being more and more deceived by maxthon...

Maxthon auto syncs while using Wi-Fi only to preserve bandwidth. The only other option is to sync favorites manually. Check your advanced settings.

Edit: But I am having problems opening from favorites, it freezes the tab....not the browser. You can use "C" gesture to close the frozen tab and continue using Maxthon(Just not from favorites)

  5. Are you sure it was uninstalled and not just the link to the program was broken for some reason?

I find it hard to believe that Microsoft would delete programs from a users PC especially without some sort of notification that it's malicious or in some way dodgy.

The reason they gave, as I stated in my previous post, was that the program was not compatible with win10.

The actual name of the app is CPUID CPU-Z, I've reinstalled ver 1.73.

It is the only app I have installed that doesn't show the author, maybe M$ knows something I don't about the app.

  6. Yes, Microsoft may do some wonky things, but deleting a program from someones computer is definitely NOT one

There is no question the program was uninstalled by the update, none. CPUID was uninstalled without my consent by M$

  7. The latest M$ update deleted(uninstalled) a program that until this update had been working fine with win10 notifying me that it was no longer compatible. I had been using it previously without any problems that I could detect.

Upon completion of the latest update  I booted to a win10 notice indicating that CPUID had been uninstalled without any confirmation on my part. I just reinstalled with no issues. There is a validation link on the app which I haven't used, perhaps this is the cause of the uninstall?

*Edit; CPUID is freeware so it certainly not pirated software.
